Due to a nagging groin injury, Michelle decided that she could
not effectively compete in Torino. She courageously pulled-out
of these Olympic Games - relinquishing her strong desire to medal
in her last Olympic hurrah. After being selected by the United
States International Figure Skating Committee under special
circumstances outline in her petition to them, she bowed-out
from this event. The first alternate, Emily Hughes (who placed
third in the U.S. National Championships), is now making
arrangements for the next flight to Torino out of a snowbound
New York City

Are you kidding?! [OHMY] I really wanted to see Michelle win a gold! Even with an injury, I think she could have won, as long as the judging was more fair than it was in 2002. I can't believe she dropped out!?[SAD]
