Kenya & Ethiopia Athletes In Torino!

Over 80 countries will have athletes participating in the Torino 2006 Olympic Games. Two Africa continent nations will each be represented by an athlete - thanks to the concerted efforts of the U.S. based Tri-Global Sports organization (www.triglobal-sports.com). A Kenyan cross-country skier, Phillip Boit, and an Ethiopian alpine skier, Robel Teklemarian look forward to the competition for their homelands.

Boit, an accomplished endurance runner with strong cardio-vascular stamina, has trained with the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association in furthering his cross-country skiing skills. And Robel plans to not only compete in Alpine Skiing but also in cross-country too – an Olympic rarity. He has extensively trained here in the U.S. – as part of the highly-regarded University of New Hampshire Ski Team.

Tri-Global Sports has emerged in recent years as a prime provider of support and sponsorship for these athletes. Founder Pat Beldotti, leads this non-profit organization that relies on contributions from private and public sources to keep these athletes’ dreams alive. Without this involvement, Boit and Robel would certainly not be able to participate due to limited funding from their own governments.
